I so agree.The US has the most expensive and worst health care system of all modern countries. It is suited to benefit corporations of the health industry, not patients. The US is a corporate dictatorship in democratic disguise, and lobbying is institutionalised corruption.
"In the post-meditative experience become a child of illusion" is a slogan from the Tibetan mind training tradition. We engage the world as we experience it all the while realizing that reality is not as it seems to be.

ReplyDeleteThere is an excellent article in the June 1, 2009 issue of The New Yorker on the many facets of why our health care is so expensive and not very good. It is written by Dr. Atul Gawande. His conclusions don't seem to be very hopeful that things are going to change any time soon.
