We, as a society, are finally starting to realize that it is just wrong to insist that people who are dying anyway continue to live in excruciating pain until the last bitter moment. That's good news, as far as I'm concerned.

    And we need more people to draw up "Living Wills" instructing doctors and hospitals with "DNR - do not resuscitate - and DNE - do not entubate" orders so that our families are not faced with having to decide whether we would want to be kept alive with extreme measures.
