"In the post-meditative experience become a child of illusion" is a slogan from the Tibetan mind training tradition. We engage the world as we experience it all the while realizing that reality is not as it seems to be.
While watching the news last night I thought that we have seriously lost our minds in this country. I hate to think so, but the idea of a black president, with a Muslim father, who has lived overseas is so threatening to a large portion of this country that it seems to have created this bizarre backlash made up of fearful people whose thinking and world view have become downright delusional. The need to "take back our country" or "restore honor" seems to be some misguided attempt to return some imagined idyllic past. I find all this delusion, mixed with religious fervor, to be downright scary.
I think we should pay no more attention to them whatsoever and they might just go away. We can thank our corporate run media for keeping these folks on "life support".

Serious head shaking and almost crying sounds coming from down under.
