Lightning strikes tree near Caylee Anthony memorial site
Here's the pertinent bit:
Yeah, I know. That's just one person. But somehow, this made the news."It could be a sign from the angels that they aren't happy with what's happened," a visitor to the site told the Orlando Sentinel newspaper. "The rain, the lightning, the storm – it's the heavens indicating they aren't happy."
I like a certain follow up observation as follows:
Whatever happened to the Age of Enlightenment? Sad.There are more lightning strikes in Florida per square mile than in any other state, according to weather.com.

I wasn't under the impression that angels retaliated against events that took place on earth or that they were involved with weather control. Zeus, Thor, Jupiter, etc... were the ones who controlled thunder and lightening, angels tended to deal more directly in human affairs. But maybe I learned about the wrong angels.
ReplyDeleteI think my favorite angel is Michael as he appears in the stories from 'Does God Have a Big Toe? Stories about stories from the bible.' Excellent re-tellings of bible stories that bring humor and new vantage points to them without crossing lines.
