Oh, my goodness

This is the CNN Quickvote for this evening. This is really worrying:

Which GOP candidate do you want to win the presidential nomination?

Paul
41%

Romney
29%
Gingrich
18%
Santorum
12%

It's clear that Paul would destroy what's left of the social safety net. Also, there is evidence that he is a racist. At the very least, he panders to racists.

He's racist, anti-choice and anti-union. I cannot, cannot for the life of me understand why any people who claim to be progressive would support him.

I guess it's all about the pot issue.

  2. I think a lot of people agree with Ron Paul's stance on smaller government and less government control of aspects of people's lives. So they repeat those lines from his campaign, but either fail to see or just ignore the other parts that make him a truly terrifying prospect for president.

  3. This is aptly put:

"The path that Ron Paul represents, should he be elected president of the United States, leads to what is rightfully described a Somalian in in nature. For there, removed from the community of nations, lies the ultimate libertarian state. It is a place where property is valued more highly than the lives of the people who inhabit the land, and where property is protected by force of arms and the freedom to use a weapon. There is no social safety net. There is no national economic system. There is no reserve bank. There is no healthcare, no education, no welfare, no collective bargaining, no interstate highway system, no truly national defense."

    I found it here:
