"In the post-meditative experience become a child of illusion" is a slogan from the Tibetan mind training tradition. We engage the world as we experience it all the while realizing that reality is not as it seems to be.
I wonder how many people would take in the message here without immediately getting angry. And not angry at what America has done in retaliation for 9/11, but angry that someone is, apparently, taking what happened so lightly. Maybe I'm just jaded, but I can see a lot of people skipping right over the real story behind this cartoon, and fixating on all the reasons they see our situation having been different. And it's been so long since a war has been fought on American soil that we've forgotten what it's like to live in an occupied country. We as Americans don't do a very good job of walking in someone else's shoes, and that makes me very sad.
