The knowledge to make nuclear weapons belongs to the world. You can't keep people from getting it. Attacking people for what they know or could know is creating thought crimes. And it's only totalitarian societies that do that. But, of course, Bush has made it clear that he wants us to be a totalitarian country more than anything.Iran remains a danger to the world even though it stopped a program to develop a nuclear weapon four years ago, President Bush said today. "Iran was dangerous, Iran is dangerous and Iran will be dangerous if they have the knowledge necessary to make a nuclear weapon," Bush said.

Bush on Iran
Bush is just itching to attack Iran - as if we didn't already know that. The fact that it has been discovered that Iran has no nuclear weapons doesn't seem to bother him at all. Take a look at this from CNN:

Yes -- just as we knew Iraq had no "weapons of mass destruction." (And as if we don't have them!) The weapons inspectors said over and over again, there were no WMDs.
ReplyDeleteBush is a warmonger and profiteer, there's no nice way to say it. He is morally corrupt, or perhaps without morals altogether. It is truly frightening that he is our president. And I know, I'm preaching to the choir here. :)
What he is saying about Iran is almost word for word what he said in the drive to invade Iraq. I was skeptical (putting it mildly) of his intentions then, and I'm downright infuriated that he thinks he can pull the wool over anyone's eyes now.
I'm generally against sending anyone to war, but should we have to send anyone, I say we send anyone who voted for Bush in 2000 and 2004.
