Quote of the day

From Time Magazine:

The Afghan civilians used to think of this anniversary as a day that they got their freedom from a cruel government. But day by day...the people have stopped believing that.

So are we paying attention here? I wonder if we even care.

  1. I'm thinking that at this point we don't care at all. We are relieved that we're mostly out of Iraq and we're looking forward to being out of Afghanistan. I do not feel that we've accomplished much in either country...
