You may think you know this stuff but I learned a few things:
Five myths about Planned Parenthood
And we need to know the truth with all the misinformation out there.
It's a short article in the Washington Post. Do click through and have a look.

Good article! I never looked at things that way: 5 years spent trying to get pregnant, 30 years spent trying NOT to get pregnant. I praise Planned Parenthood for everything they've done to help low-income women -- I was one of them once -- and I believe it is a huge mistake to stop funding this program. Think of all the unwanted pregnancies that will ensue, and all the unplanned, unwanted children that will result. Some of those children will receive good parenting. After all, somehow their mother will manage to feed, clothe, and educate and love an extra child, but many of those children will wind up horribly neglected, perhaps abused, and well-aware that they are a burden... It's a no-win situation for society and the women and children involved. Isn't it better all around to limit family size than to have children you cannot support?
ReplyDeleteI completely agree with you, Classof65.
ReplyDeleteAND, it seems to me that, if we're against abortion, the last thing we would want to do is make it difficult for people to get birth control. Women WILL have abortions - whether they're legal or not.
