You've probably already heard this by now

But still. This is so, so pathetic:

Q: Are you offended by the phrase "Under God" in the Pledge of Allegiance? Why or why not?

PALIN: Not on your life. If it was good enough for the founding fathers, its good enough for me and I’ll fight in defense of our Pledge of Allegiance.

The woman is ignorant, ignorant, ignorant.

For the record: The pledge was written in 1892, it was made official in 1942, and the "under God" bit was added in 1954 as an anti-Communist move. I was only five but I remember the hoopla over it.
